The 2026 Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 brings the opening round of the Repco Supercars Finals to the streets of Surfers Paradise. As the twelfth round of the championship, this event serves as a critical pressure zone where the title chase truly begins. Ten drivers arrive in contention, but the demanding street circuit ensures only seven will move forward in the fight for the crown after three days of racing. Fans can expect a unique blend of action-packed racing and beachside energy. The circuit is known for its unforgiving concrete walls and aggressive kerbs, providing a spectacular backdrop for the first phase of the finals series. Whether watching from the grandstands or exploring the general admission areas, the atmosphere captures the essence of the Gold Coast's surf and sand culture alongside world-class motorsport. Beyond the track, the weekend offers a range of ways to get closer to the sport. A Paddock Pass provides a behind-the-scenes look at the teams in action, while the Surfers Paradise precinct provides plenty of dining and entertainment options within walking distance. With kids aged 12 and under receiving free general admission, it remains a major highlight for families and dedicated racing fans alike.

Kids 12 and under enter free for general admission when accompanied by a paying adult (one child per adult). Paddock Passes are available for those wanting behind-the-scenes access to meet drivers. Travel packages including accommodation and exclusive function access are available through Supercars Travel.

The Surfers Paradise Street Circuit is one of the most iconic and demanding temporary tracks in world motorsport. Located in the heart of Queensland's Gold Coast, the circuit winds through the high-rise canyons of Surfers Paradise and Main Beach. Originally built in 1991 for the American IndyCar series, it has evolved over decades to become a crown jewel of the Supercars Championship. The track is famous for its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, offering a stunning backdrop that contrasts with the brutal nature of the racing. Known for its punishing kerbs and unforgiving concrete walls, the circuit requires absolute precision. Drivers must navigate high-speed chicanes where the cars often launch onto two wheels, a sight that has become synonymous with the Gold Coast 500. The layout was shortened in 2010 to its current 2.98km configuration, making it more compact and intense for both fans and competitors. It remains a high-stakes arena where even a tiny error can end a race instantly. Beyond the on-track action, the venue is celebrated for its festive, "carnival" atmosphere. The event transforms the coastal strip into a massive fan zone with live music, stunt shows, and beachside entertainment. It’s a unique fusion of high-octane motorsport and the relaxed Queensland lifestyle, drawing tens of thousands of spectators every year. Whether it's the roar of V8 engines or the vibrant nightlife nearby, the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit offers an experience unlike any other in Australia.

Public transport is the highly recommended way to reach the circuit, as many local roads are closed to general traffic during the event. The G:link light rail (the "Tram") is the most efficient method, with several stations located within walking distance of the circuit gates. Regular bus services also run from across the Gold Coast to the Surfers Paradise transit center. There is no public parking available directly at the circuit. Spectators are encouraged to use Park and Ride facilities at various locations or find commercial parking in Surfers Paradise, though these fill up very quickly and are subject to event pricing. Walking or cycling from nearby accommodation is often the fastest way to access the track.
