The Adelaide Street Circuit is a world-renowned temporary track located in the heart of South Australia's capital. It first gained international fame as the host of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix from 1985 until 1995, often serving as the dramatic season finale for the world's most elite drivers. The circuit is famous for its punishing kerbs and tight street sections that wind through the beautiful Adelaide Parklands and city streets, demanding absolute precision and physical endurance. After Formula 1 departed for Melbourne, the venue reinvented itself as the home of the Adelaide 500 (formerly the Clipsal 500). This event quickly became the crown jewel of the Supercars Championship, known for its grueling heat and the infamous, high-speed Turn 8 sweeper. The layout has evolved over the years, with the shorter 3.22km version now serving as the standard for domestic racing, featuring the iconic Senna Chicane and the high-speed blast along Brabham Straight. The atmosphere during a race weekend in Adelaide is second to none, with the entire city embracing the festival of speed. Fans flock to the Victoria Park grandstands to witness a diverse range of categories, including the Supercars, Carrera Cup, and various historic displays. It remains one of the most respected street circuits globally, blending high-speed thrills with technical corners that truly test the limits of motorsport excellence.

The circuit is incredibly accessible due to its proximity to the Adelaide CBD. Most fans choose to walk from the city center or utilize the free event transport services, including dedicated buses and trams that operate frequently during major race windows. Using public transport is highly recommended as extensive road closures affect many of the city's main arteries. For those choosing to drive, limited paid parking is available in private lots and parking stations throughout the CBD and North Adelaide. There is no dedicated public parking on the circuit grounds themselves, and many fans utilize park-and-ride services offered from suburban hubs to avoid traffic congestion near the parklands.
