Fans can expect to see big entries and wall scrapes as drivers navigate the turn one wall and the backwards entry over the hill. The event transforms the track into a festival environment with live commentary and music playing throughout the night. Beyond the track action, the venue hosts a premium car show featuring a mix of JDM, Euro, and unique street builds competing for trophies. Attendees can walk through the pits to see the 60-plus unique drift cars up close and meet the teams. International talent often joins the mix, with guest drivers like Formula Drift pro Forrest Wang appearing to showcase their style. For those who want to get closer to the smoke, passenger laps are available with professional drivers in fully built drift cars. The site also includes a dedicated kids zone with face painting and activities, making it accessible for families. Located in Melbourne, the venue offers a trackside beer garden and a variety of food trucks and trade stalls. Calder Park Raceway is one of Australia’s most storied motorsport facilities, located just outside of Melbourne in the suburb of Keilor North. Originally opened as a short sprint track in 1962, the venue expanded significantly under the ownership of legendary racer and businessman Bob Jane. It is perhaps most famous for the Thunderdome, a 1.8-kilometre high-banked tri-oval built in the late 1980s to bring American-style stock car racing, including NASCAR and AUSCAR, to Australian soil. The venue’s layout is unique, featuring several configurations including a traditional road circuit, a world-class drag strip, and the aforementioned oval. Over the decades, it has hosted a wide range of major events, from the Australian Grand Prix—notably including the first-ever round of the Formula One World Championship held in Australia in 1980—to the popular Off Street Drags which provide a legal environment for local car enthusiasts to test their vehicles.
