Sydney Motorsport Park, located in Eastern Creek, New South Wales, is one of Australia's premier motor racing facilities and the only permanent race track in the Sydney metropolitan area. Opened in 1990 as Eastern Creek International Raceway, the venue was originally built to host the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. Today, it is owned by the New South Wales Government and operated by the Australian Racing Drivers' Club (ARDC), serving as a world-class hub for both professional competition and community motorsport enthusiasts. The venue is celebrated for its versatility, offering four distinct track configurations including the 3.93km Gardner GP Circuit and the technical 4.5km Brabham Extended Circuit. One of its most striking features is the state-of-the-art stadium lighting system installed in 2020, which enables high-octane night racing. Sydney Motorsport Park is situated approximately 40 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD and is easily accessible via the city's major motorway network. If you are driving from the city, take the M4 Western Motorway and exit at Reservoir Road or Wallgrove Road. Those coming from the north or south can utilize the M7 Westlink, exiting at Wallgrove Road or The Horsley Drive. The main entrance is Gate A, located on Ferrers Road. Ample on-site parking is available for spectators, with designated areas for cars and motorcycles typically accessed through Gate A or Gate B. During major international events, additional parking is often opened at the adjacent Sydney Dragway (Gate D). If you prefer public transport, the nearest major rail hub is Blacktown Station; from there, it is highly recommended to take a short taxi or rideshare trip to the circuit, as local bus services to the precinct can be irregular.
