Northline Speedway is the Northern Territory’s premier dirt track racing destination, nestled within the expansive Hidden Valley Motorsports Complex just outside of Darwin. Known for its fast-paced action and unique tropical atmosphere, the venue features a well-maintained clay oval that attracts top-tier talent from across Australia and overseas. Racing typically takes place during the Darwin "Dry Season," providing a perfect backdrop of warm nights and clear skies for high-octane entertainment. Over the years, the venue has built a reputation for hosting some of the most prestigious events in the country, most notably the "Chariots of Thunder" Sprintcar series. This multi-night spectacle transforms the speedway into a hub of international motorsport, drawing massive crowds and a world-class field of drivers. Ample unsealed parking is available on-site for spectators, though it is recommended to arrive early during major events like Chariots of Thunder to secure a spot close to the gates.
