Sydney Dragway, situated in Eastern Creek, New South Wales, stands as one of the premier drag racing facilities in the Southern Hemisphere. Opened in early 2004, it was constructed to provide a dedicated, world-class home for straight-line racing in Australia's largest city, following the closure of the historic Castlereagh Dragstrip years prior. The venue is part of the broader Western Sydney Parklands precinct, sitting adjacent to the Sydney Motorsport Park circuit, creating a major hub for automotive activities in the region. The facility features a quarter-mile track built to international specifications, complete with a massive spectator grandstand and extensive pit areas. It regularly hosts rounds of the National Drag Racing Championship, including major events like the Nitro Champs and various street-legal meets. Beyond top-fuel dragsters and funny cars, the venue is a frequent site for drifting competitions, large-scale automotive shows, and the annual Jamboree, which showcases high-tech small-capacity and rotary-powered vehicles. What sets this location apart is its focus on community and accessibility. While it caters to professional teams seeking national records, it also runs frequent "Race 4 Real" nights where local drivers can bring their road cars to the track in a controlled environment. This mix of professional competition and grassroots participation has established the site as a cornerstone of the Sydney car scene, providing a safe alternative to illegal street racing while maintaining a high standard of event production.

The venue is located on Ferrers Road in Eastern Creek. It is most easily accessed by car via the M4 Western Motorway or the M7 Westlink, typically taking the Wallgrove Road or Reservoir Road exits. Ample on-site parking is available for spectators and competitors. During major event weekends, traffic management is usually in place to assist with the flow of vehicles entering and exiting the parklands precinct. Public transport options are limited, so driving or using a rideshare service is recommended.
