Timmis Speedway is a premier dirt track racing facility located in the sun-drenched region of Mildura, Victoria. Operated by the Mildura Speedway Drivers Club, the venue has a rich history spanning over 60 years, serving as a vital hub for motorsport enthusiasts in the Sunraysia district. Originally established in 1964 on land provided by local resident Albert Timmis, the track has evolved from its humble "Hot Rod" beginnings into a world-class facility known for its high-quality clay surface and competitive racing conditions. The venue features a clay oval that hosts a diverse range of categories, including fire-breathing 410 Sprintcars, V8 Dirt Modifieds, Late Models, and the highly competitive Street Stocks. It is a frequent host of state and national championships, most notably the Easter Sprintcar Nationals and the annual Ross Crick Memorial. The track recently underwent significant upgrades, including widening the racing surface to 19 meters and the installation of a 5-star Speedway Australia safety fence and state-of-the-art lighting, ensuring it remains at the forefront of Australian speedway. The atmosphere at Timmis Speedway is quintessentially Australian—loud, dusty, and full of community spirit. Fans can enjoy the action from spacious grassy banks or grandstands, offering an unobstructed view of the high-speed "slide jobs" and wheel-to-wheel combat the track is famous for. With a family-friendly focus and a passionate club-driven management, a night at the Mildura speedway is more than just a race; it is a major event that brings the local community and traveling fans together under the lights.

Timmis Speedway is situated at 3342 Deakin Avenue, which is a southern extension of the Sturt Highway leading out of Mildura. It is approximately a 10-minute drive from the heart of the city, making it easily accessible for both locals and visitors. The venue provides extensive on-site parking for spectators, with dedicated areas for club members and disability access near the main entry gates. For those traveling from out of town, the facility is well-signposted along Deakin Avenue. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for major events to secure prime positions on the spectator banks.
