Unlike traditional drag racing held at a single venue, this event requires participants to drive their competition cars over a significant road loop between multiple tracks, proving that these machines are as capable on the highway as they are on the drag strip. It is a test of mechanical endurance, navigation, and consistency for both the vehicles and their crews. Tuesday, 27 October — Day 1 Racing: 9am–3pm Victorian Motorsport Park Wednesday, 28 October — Day 2 Racing: 9am–3pm South Coast Raceway, Portland Thursday, 29 October — Day 3 Night racing: 3pm–9pm Dragway at The Bend Friday, 30 October — Day 4 Night racing: 3pm–9pm Atlantic Oils Sunset Strip, Mildura Saturday, 31 October — Day 5 Night racing: 3pm–9pm Victorian Motorsport Park Fans can expect to see a diverse field of over 300 entrants competing across 12 distinct classes, ranging from high-performance street cars to purpose-built machines. The event spans five days of competition, where entrants must complete the road journey and record competitive times at each scheduled track. It is an opportunity to witness a wide variety of automotive engineering, from classic muscle cars to modern forced-induction builds, all pushed to their limits in a unique format. Originating in 2014, the event has grown from a small gathering into a major fixture on the Australian motorsport calendar. Spectators can follow the action as the field travels between venues, offering a rare chance to see these vehicles in a road-going environment before watching them perform on the track. The event is presented by VPW Australia and showcases the dedication required to maintain and race high-performance vehicles under demanding conditions. ## Good to Know ## Organisers Street Machine Drag Challenge: https://racefy.co/organiser/street-machine-drag-challenge-7f85da84-9b68-4eea-8614-e227c168ae47 ## Venue South Coast Raceway Portland, VIC https://racefy.co/venues/south-coast-raceway-cddc1eb5-30bb-427b-86a3-2ffdffa89215 ### Book accommodation near this event RATES DISPLAYED ARE PER NIGHT ## About South Coast Raceway ## Getting There Image: Racefy (https://media.base44.com/images/public/69e59449d1ffd0028afbb22d/f3dc9772e_RacefyLogo.svg) Global motorsport community. ## Explore - All Events: https://racefy.co/events - Venues: https://racefy.co/venues - Categories: https://racefy.co/categories - Organisers: https://racefy.co/organisers ## Account - Sign In / Join: https://racefy.co/auth ## Promote - List Your Events: https://racefy.co/list-events - Partnerships & Advertising: https://racefy.co/advertise © 2026 Racefy Network.
