About this Event

Targa Florio introduces an exciting chapter of tarmac rallying to Tasmania's rugged North West Coast. Drawing inspiration from the historic Sicilian road race held since 1906, this three-day event brings classic and contemporary rallying together on some of the world's finest driving tarmac. Based out of Burnie, the rally tests competitors and touring participants across 16 stages and more than 220 kilometres of closed public roads. Drivers will tackle legendary Tasmanian sections including the technical Hellyer Gorge and the sweeping turns of Savage River, surrounded by rainforests and coastal backdrops. Spectators can witness an array of machines pushing their limits along designated viewing points or head into central Burnie to get up close with the cars and crews during evening gatherings like Targafest. It offers a memorable blend of international motorsport heritage and wild Tasmanian scenery.
